SPECIFICATIONS FOR "S" HOOKS
0.172 diameter, C-1019 siliconekilned hard temper galvanized wire, dry wax coated to protect from rust.

Tensile (ASTM D-412) 1500 PSI	The pounds per square inch required to break a strap
Elongation (ASTM D412) 350%	The percentage of the original length of the strap is taken at the moment of rupture
Durometer (ASTM D-2240) 55 +/- 5%	Hardness of the rubber. Resistance to indentation.
Stretch Recovery 90-100%	The strap is measured and then stretched 150% of its original length (example: 10" stretched to 15" and allowed to remain for 1 hour). After that hour, the strap is re-measured to determine the percent of recovery.
Ozone Resistance (ASTM D-1171) Pass-no cracking	Tarp Straps are stretched 20% and exposed to 50 parts of ozone per 100 million parts of air (50 PPHM) for 70 hours at 104ï¿½ F. This test evaluates weatherablility of the straps when exposed to the elements.
Low Temperature (ASTM D-2137) Pass	Test the brittleness of the rubber at -40ï¿½ F.
