Used in situations where abrasion resistance and reflectivity are important. Excellent thermal characteristics over a temperature range to 650ºF. Typical applications as insulation for simple garments such as aprons. Aluminization is also ideal in expansion joint applications because it acts as a gas barrier where gas permeation through the fabric is undesirable. May be used in wet applications.
